There’s a strong emphasis on realistic character animation and context-sensitive hits, bringing a few first-person aiming sensibilities to a third person shooter. That dark, gritty Noir style seems to still be missing, but there’s no denying that the crucial gunplay captures the spirit of Remedy’s originals.
Also, dual-wielding with a shotgun in one hand, and a pistol in the other? Yeah….sign me up.
Max Payne 3 is headed for consoles in May, with a PC release scheduled for June this year.
